FARGO — Police on patrol in downtown Fargo found three people with gunshot wounds in the 500 block of Broadway early Sunday, Feb. 21, the Fargo Police Department said in a statement.
The officers found the wounded after hearing gunshots in the area, according to police spokeswoman Jessica Schindeldecker. Ambulances transported the wounded to a local hospital and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Police on Sunday were not available to confirm any other details of the shootings.
Nearly 30 evidence markers were scattered around the rear entrance of the Bismarck Tavern, where police focused their investigation.
A disturbance reportedly occurred at the bar at 522 Broadway N. around the time of the shootings, according to the Red River Regional Dispatch Center. Online dispatch logs show a medical emergency at the tavern at 12:12 a.m.
