TAMPA, Fla. — With the growing demand for donated food, Jesuit High School students boxed hundreds of meals for families in need on Sunday.
“I love food, so I like the cooking the eating, spending time with family,” says Koehler Runkle, senior at Jesuit High School. “And now I’m helping others feel that, too.”
Students raised over $18,000 to feed over 250 families in the Bay Area.
“COVID has put a lot of different strains on a community,” says Andy Wood, Director of Community Service. “But these are what Sunday’s are for…to give back”
The boxes will be delved to multiple Boys and Girls clubs around the Tampa Bay.
“It makes me feel like I’m doing work that means something to the people of our community,” says Kellan Kirkpatrick, senior at Jesuit High School.
