Instagram will begin testing a way for users to create and share fundraisers for nonprofits directly within feed.
People will be able to link to any eligible nonprofit directly within feed posts. This provides a long-term option for these efforts, as Instagram’s current tools only work in Instagram Stories and Instagram Live, giving these posts a short shelf life.
Instagram said 100% of money raised through these tools goes directly to the target organizations, and donations are securely processed via Facebook Pay.
The Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing platform has been sharing a #GivingTuesday Story at the front of its Stories bar, encouraging people to support small businesses and donate directly to nonprofits.
