NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Dozens of people lined up at the Moose Lodge in North Platte for the annual BBQ pork sandwich feed.
It’s been a tradition for the local lodge for the past ten years. However, this year it was drive-thru only.
The annual fundraiser not only raises funds for the local organization, but it also helps sustains their sponsored programs.
Members say they’re grateful they were able to provide this service to the community given the current directive health measures.
“We knew it was going to be a tough go,” said Moose Lodge 551 Member Dennis Dailey. “We didn’t know what the situation was going to be with Nebraskaland Days and how we would fit into it this year, so it worked out. When the opportunity came for us to be a part of it, we were on board immediately, so we’re happy to do it.”
The cost was ten dollars per meal.
