Rocky Mountain National Park on Saturday provided a behind-the-scenes look at some of the damages incurred from the East Troublesome fire as it shot over the Continental Divide and into the park’s borders.

The four-and-a-half minute video, set to somber music, showcases some of the historic structures lost to the fire, as well as panorama shots of charred forests.

“It is a somber reflection and an important part of our understanding,” said Kyle Patterson, a Rocky Mountain National Park spokesperson, in a news release.

The fire, which is still burning 193,812 acres with 60% containment, burned 30,000 acres (or 9%) of the park’s acreage, Patterson said.

National park officials on Friday reopened two more areas of the park after three weeks of closure. The Grand Lake entrance remains closed.
