NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Lincoln County Cattlemen’s Association Prime Rib Sandwich Feed was done mostly “drive-thru style” in North Platte Tuesday. The event, which is the association’s biggest yearly fundraiser, has become synonymous with NEBRASKAland Days.
President of the Lincoln County Cattlemen’s Association David Orr was pleased with the turn out, and glad to see people out enjoying the meal. Patrons in cars showed up at the drive through at 4:30 p.m., and rand steady through to the end. Tables were set up and distanced apart for people who decided to stay and eat on site. The Downtown Association supports this event, as well.
The event ran from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. downtown North Platte. Orr said the Prime Rib sandwich feed helps fund Lincoln County Cattlemen’s Association education, meetings, legislative updates and educational speakers, but mostly he said it supports local cattlemen, the community and NEBRASKAland Days as a whole.
