CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ)- Two men are behind bars this morning following a shooting that happened Saturday night in Charleston, according to the Charleston Police Department.
Harry Nguyen, 27, of Charleston was charged with malicious wounding and Kevin Reeves, 43, of Charleston was charged with prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
The shooting was reported around 6:15 p.m. to an apartment in the 1200 block of Stuart Street in Charleston.
CPD said Harry Nguyen, 27, of Charleston went to the victim’s home and began knocking on the front door several times.
The victim walked toward the front door of the apartment, to see who was knocking. Nguyen started firing several rounds through the front door, striking the victim.
CPD said the victim was standing inside the doorway behind the front door.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim lying on the living room floor with multiple gunshot wounds.
Nguyen fled on foot and went to a nearby home.
The victim was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
Both men are currently being held in the South-Central Regional Jail.
UPDATE 7:30 P.M.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ)- One person was hospitalized after a shooting Saturday night, according to the Charleston Police Department.
CPD said a male was shot multiple times.
The shooting was reported in the 1200 block of Stuart Street in Charleston just before 6:30 p.m.
Investigators said the male victim is in critical condition.
A person of interest has been detained at this time, according to CPD.

Dispatchers said the shooting was reported in the 1200 block of Stuart Street in Charleston just before 6:30 p.m.
No further information about the victim’s condition has been released.
