The following information is taken from the Auburn Police Department daily blotter between Dec. 1 and Dec. 9. All told there were 23 assaults, 24 vehicle thefts and 15 burglaries reported during that time frame:

Dec. 1

Burglary: A business was burglarized on the 1400 block of West Valley Highway North in Auburn between 5:30 – 6 a.m.

Assault: A man was arrested for domestic violence assault on the 3700 block of A Street Southeast at 3:06 p.m.

Stolen vehicle: A man was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle near the 4100 block of B Street Northwest at 12:44 a.m.

Dec. 2

Assault: A woman was assaulted on the 100 block of Auburn Way South around 4 p.m.

Theft: A computer was stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of Auburn Way South between 2 and 2:20 p.m.

Vandalism: A storefront window was shattered on the 1100 block of Auburn Way South at 1 a.m.

Dec. 3

Assault: A domestic assault on the 1500 block of 8th Street Northeast was reported to the Auburn Police Department at 8:35 a.m.

Theft: A man smashed the window of a vehicle and stole a backpack on 8th Street Southwest between 7 and 7:45 a.m.

Burglary: A burglary was reported at 4:12 p.m. on 16th Street Northeast.

Dec. 4

Firearm: A person was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm on the 2500 block of M Place Northeast around 2:45 p.m.

Hit and run: Two vehicles crashed at the intersection of 2nd Street Southeast and A Street Southeast at 10:40 a.m. The male driver and female passenger of one vehicle fled the scene, a firearm on the driver’s side floorboard was taken by police.

Illegal discharge: A series of illegal discharges was investigated on the 500 block of 8th Street Southeast at around 11:15 p.m.

Dec. 5

Theft: Firearms and other valuables were stolen from a vehicle on Terrace View Lane Southeast between 4 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Belara Apartments but then located in a different part of the apartment complex around 12:30 p.m.

Burglary: An apartment was burgled on D Street Southeast between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Dec. 6

Robbery: A strong arm robbery occurred on the 1000 block of Outlet Collection Way Southwest at 9:15 p.m.

Assault: An assault was reported at the Holiday Inn Express on C Street Southwest at 4:25 p.m.

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from Frontage Road at 12:53 p.m.

Dec. 7

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was stolen from the 500 block of Auburn Way South between 1 and 1:30 a.m.

Catalytic converter: A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on A Street Northeast between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Trespass: A woman was trespassed from Walmart on Outlet Collection Drive Southwest until 2023.

Dec. 8

Assault: A resident of a retirement home on I Street Northeast was assaulted by another resident at 3:35 p.m.

Burglary: A woman reported her garage was burglarized at 1:43 p.m.

Assault: A domestic violence assault near the interurban trail and state Route 18 was reported at 9:51 a.m.

Dec. 9

Burglary: A burglary was reported at Painting with a Twist at 8:44 a.m.

Robbery: A bank robbery was reported at 101 Auburn Way North at 3:19 p.m.

Assault: A man was arrested for 4th degree assault on the 300 block of 15th Street Northeast at 8:30 a.m.
