Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores is entering into his third season at the helm in South Florida. And as the stability of his roster has continued to improve, his messaging to his team can be more retained — there are less and less players each year that are getting his mantras and approach to the game for the first time. And while we’ve gotten a few peeks at how Flores looks to coach his team, Flores is a big proponent of confidentiality between he and his players.

Which is what makes the latest preseason promo from the NFL so unique. It offers a behind the scenes look at Brian Flores addressing his team after their first padded practice of the 2021 preseason. And it doesn’t disappoint for Dolphins fans who are hoping to get a jolt ahead of this season’s regular season.

Flores’ direct address of his team gives a simple message: you’re going to get coached. Hard.

What a drastic difference Flores provides in how he addresses his players relative to the likes of Adam Gase and Joe Philbin. Despite the continued progress on the field, seeing Flores cultivate relationships with his players and go to bad or their privacy is plenty affirmation that Miami’s departure from hunting for an “offensive guru” was the right decision with their coaching hire in 2019.

Adam Gase had a poor habit of passing the blame to anyone and everyone else during his time in Miami. Joe Philbin was about as non-confrontational as could be, as we saw on Hard Knocks. Brian Flores?

He’s going to coach the *you know what* out of the Dolphins. He said so himself — and he’s not afraid to tell his players that it’s coming, too.
