Feed the Needy has been a long-standing tradition on the Gulf Coast and the deadline is fast approaching.
For 32 years, the program has provided meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas to families in need in Harrison County.
The deadline to register to receive meals on Thanksgiving is 9 a.m. Monday, November 15th. You can contact your local police department or the Harrison County Sheriff’s office.
This year’s Feed the Needy aims to provide more than a thousand warm Thanksgiving meals to those less fortunate. Biloxi PD Captain Tom Goldsworthy said, “Thanksgiving and Christmas time are usually about family. So, for us law enforcement families to be able to participate with the community and be a part of their families is always a plus. So, we enjoy doing it.”
The deadline to register for the Christmas Feed the Needy program is Monday, December 13th at 9 a.m.
