All About Feed is hosting a virtual feed forum on May 27th 2021. Last week we gave a first preview of the programme. Now we will introduce 2 new speakers who will join the programme.

The Virtual All About Feed Forum will take place on May 27^th 2021 and brings industry leaders together to share knowledge and network with each other.

The 2 newly announced speakers will share there knowledge on circular agriculture, an introduction:

Dr ir. Sonja de Vries
Assistant Professor Animal Nutrition Group, Wageningen University & Research
Topic: Future-proof Animal Nutrition within the changing global food system
– How to realize sustainable, socially acceptable, and competitive use of feed resources without compromising animal performance and health ?
– The shift in feed resources brings all sorts of challenges, having consequences for diet formulation, feed production, and feeding systems.

Dr Hannah van Zanten
Associate Professor at the Farming Systems Ecology group at Wageningen University and Research
Topic: Circular food systems
– In a circular system, animals are solely fed with grass and leftover streams.
– Animals in a circular food system play an important role in feeding humanity.
– In circular food systems the environmental impact is reduced.
-Mainly milk and dairy-beef are produced, while dietary-guidelines recommend chicken meat over beef.
