West Side Campaign Against Hunger, one of the largest Emergency Food Providers in NYC, with its main offices located in the heart of the Upper West Side at 263 West 86th Street, has been serving over 40,000 New Yorkers in need throughout the pandemic, delivering 2.1 million pounds of food, just over half of which was fresh produce.
WSCAH is now launching a Spring Campaign to support more New Yorkers in need. Their Mobile Market works in partnership with community-based organizations across the city to bring healthy food directly to the most food-insecure neighborhoods of New York.
In the past 6 months, WSCAH has worked with nearly 50 community organizations to bring healthy food to those who need it most across all five boroughs. This month, WSCAH will add an additional 25 new partner sites across the city to bring more healthy food to more people.
“The food from the Mobile Market has made a big difference. I’m very grateful to this program. I’m stronger now, and I feel like I’m moving forward.”
– Marjolin, WSCAH Customer
WSCAH’s Mobile Market continues to play a vital role in meeting the needs of the community during the pandemic, delivering more food to more people than ever before.
WSCAH’s goal from this campaign:
- Delivering 5,000 additional boxes of healthy food to families
- Serving 15,000 more people
- Providing 180,000 more meals
West Side Campaign Against Hunger needs community support to achieve these goals. Those who are able to support the Spring Campaign, can do so by purchasing boxes of healthy food here. Each box serves a family of 3 New Yorkers in need.
