The HBO documentary Natalie Wood: What Remains Behind premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, covering the actress’ life before her untimely death at 43. The documentary is also available to stream through Hulu and Amazon Prime.
Natasha Gregson Wagner helps piece together the life and career of her mother that has been overshadowed by the mystery shrouding her death. Best known for her roles in movies such as West Side Story, Splendour in the Grass, Rebel Without a Cause and her first role on Miracle on 34th Street, Wood brought light through her characters in a wide variety of genres. She drowned off Catalina Island in 1981.
The documentary will include unseen home movies, photographs, diaries, letters and artifacts, as well as intimate interviews with her friends, family, co-stars and colleagues.
