Can the Buffalo Bills crack their win total against the New York Jets in Week 1?
In an effort to get more insight on the Chiefs, Bills Wire spoke to Billy Riccette, managing editor for our friends over at Jets Wire, for this week’s behind enemy lines feature:
What are the Week 1 expectations from Aaron Rodgers? Hit the ground running or give some time?

BR: I think the Jets and Rodgers are hitting the ground running. With him working OTAs and in the preseason, and with the way the offense looked in camp, there’s no need to ease up. Rodgers has of course worked with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett before and the toe worked closely together in building this offense. The Jets know this is an important Week 1. It’s a chance to set a major tone in the division right from the start. They’re going to go full tilt.
Where is the Jets offensive line right now? Training camp reports weren't always kind.

BR: I think the line is in a better spot than it was throughout camp. The training camp reports weren’t kind, but they weren’t lying. Billy Turner and Max Mitchell struggled while they worked as the starters. It wasn’t until the final preseason week that the current line started working together as injuries also kept out Alijah Vera-Tucker and Laken Tomlinson. The Jets have the line exactly how they want it — though at some point, we expect Joe Tippmann to take over at center. But this group is in a good spot now. They just need to stay healthy.
Between Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner, if you had to pick one that's more likely to build off their strong rookie season, which one would you pick?

BR: Give me Sauce Gardner here, though this is a really good question and both have cases. But Gardner always flashed that lockdown corner ability and had almost immediately drawn comparisons to the newly-minted Hall of Famer Darrelle Revis. Gardner is already considered a top-five (and some say the top) cornerback in the league. He’s going to be special.
On the defensive front, is Quinnen Williams the No. 1 player the Bills should worry about

BR: He almost has to be, no? There’s a reason he just became one of the highest-paid defensive tackles in the league. He will blow up plays in an instant because he is so tough to defend. Only one interior lineman had more sacks in 2022 than Williams did and he is currently holding out for a new contract and has already missed one game this season. And with the group of guys New York has up front, even if you want to double-team Williams, others will be one-on-one and can still make life miserable for Josh Allen. Williams will open up the defense in many ways.

BR: I really feel like New York can steal this one. MetLife Stadium is going to be packed for a big Monday night showdown and as long as the offensive line stays healthy, they can move the football. Both running backs will be in the mix and keep an eye out for the tight ends as well. They can easily be overlooked but Tyler Conklin and Jeremy Ruckert (especially Ruckert) will start making names for themselves. Gardner should also be able to handle Stefon Diggs again like he did last season. Let’s go Jets 23, Bills 20.
