Cameras seemingly documented every angle of King Charles's coronation—apart from the new monarch's anointing, which took place behind a screen and was not broadcast. But after the final flypast, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a rare look behind-the-scenes at the historic milestone.
In a new video posted on social media, the Prince and Princess of Wales revealed an intimate family moment that took place before the church service started. In it, an excited Charlotte and Louis pause on the steps of what one assumes is Kensington Palace, before getting into the car to go to Westminster Abbey. William looks rather stoic in the clip, while Kate smiles eagerly. The Waleses captioned the video, "What. A. Day. Thank you to everyone who made it happen #Coronation," on Twitter.
Prince George is missing from the behind the scenes, as he was preparing for his own role in the ceremony as one of Charles's Pages of Honour, but he does show up later, in a clip of the family on the balcony.

Just a few days before the coronation, the Princess of Wales was asked how her children were feeling about the big event. During a visit to Soho, she shared, "There's a mix of nerves and anticipation and excitement going on at the moment."
When a person in the crowd asked her, "Louis will behave, you think?" Kate replied, "I hope so." Crossing her fingers, she added, "You never, you never quite know do you?"
Fortunately, 5-year-old Louis was quite well behaved, and his hilarious faces only added to the joyous mood of the day.
