Stunning video of a storm in New York City shows lightening strike just behind the Statue of Liberty with a cloudy backdrop Wednesday evening.
Michael Calabrese captured the brief video of Lady Liberty while he was working onboard the Miss New York run by Statue Cruises.
"I was just in the right place at the right time," Calabrese told USA TODAY, adding that he used his just phone camera to capture the stunning shot. It was his love for weather and instincts as a photographer that caused him to start filming. "I did my best to keep it as still as possible and contain my excitement."
"The best video I ever captured," Calabrese tweeted while sharing the video, which has been viewed on Twitter more than 2 million times.
Heavy thunderstorms rolled through New York on Wednesday, with the National Weather Service issuing severe thunderstorm and flash flooding warnings in the city.
