Feed the Envie Bingo is joining EatLafayette this year to bolster local restaurants.
EatLafayette, a summer dining campaign, was created in 2004 to encourages people to support local eateries from June to September, typically the slowest time for the food service industry. More than 100 local restaurants participate in EatLafayette offering discounts each year as a way to better compete with chain restaurants.
Feed the Envie Bingo is an additional incentive for diners to visit Acadiana's restaurants this summer. A printable bingo card is available with three entry levels — Across or Down (5 restaurants), L Shape (10 restaurants), or go for Blackout (25 restaurants).
Filled bingo cards and receipts of purchases of $10 or more, and one $20 purchase for Blackout participants, can be turned into LafayetteTravel to receive a prize and automatically be entered to win a grand prize to be announced Sept. 16.
Prizes include tote bags and crawfish trays. The grand prizes are gift certificates to restaurants in various amounts.
The contest is being held between June 22 thru Sept. 10. One purchase per restaurant qualifies as an entry. Multiple restaurant purchases can be made in the same day but must be made at different participating EatLafayette restaurants.
The restaurants included in the bingo contest are those participating in it EatLafayette.
