ITHACA, N.Y. –– Ithaca Police recovered a backpack containing a one-pot meth lab on the railroad bridge behind Agway Saturday morning. The backpack was discovered by a pedestrian walking in the area.
Just before 8 a.m. IPD officers responded to the 200 block of S Fulton Street and examined the bag before determining that the contents were in fact an active meth lab.
The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team assisted in processing the scene. The Ithaca Fire Department also assisted on scene.
